In Afrikaans, "juweel" means jewel and this is what we offer you: a true gem of a guest house. Set in the northern suburbs of Johannesburg, we boast tranquil surroundings and world class facilities central to a number of interesting tourist attractions.
Encased within a spacious double-storey structure with mezzanine level, and nestled below the country-style charm of a thatched roof, you will find much to enthrall you, whether it relates to our peaceful and serene atmosphere, the attractive landscaped garden, our delicious menus or our six beautiful guest rooms, all with a "gem theme".

We offer six guest rooms, each with its own en suite bathroom, desk and chair and appropriately-coloured décor options. The guest rooms are named after the following gem stones:

All rooms have twin or double accommodation possibilities. Each room comes standard with a flat screen television with satellite (cable) channels, air conditioning/heating, tea/coffee facilities, a safe for your valuables and a hair dryer.

We are located in Jukskei Park, just minutes away from Monte Casino with its bird park and excellent shopping and dining attractions. We are also close to the Fourways shopping centre and the Coca Cola Dome (for musical events/concerts). The Cradle of Humankind, which offers heritage sites of cultural, historical and geological interest, is about 45 minutes away. Sun City and the world-famous Pilanesberg National Park (a Big Five and malaria-free zone) is a drive of about one and a half hours away.
Transfers from either OR Tambo International or Lanseria airports can be easily arranged, as well as accommodation at any of the fantastic hotels/lodges/game parks in South Africa.
We can also assist with bookings to tourist attractions in neigbouring countries, for example the Victoria Falls (via either Zambia or Zimbabwe) or the Okavango Swamps (Botswana), if you have the time and the inclination.
