Half of Tamboti Tent Camp’s stilted, tented, Kruger National Park accommodation are 2 bedded units while the other half are 4 person tents. All are self-catering Kruger National Park accommodation. Tamboti Tent Camp’s 2-bedded and 4-bedded tents are set out in a flat veld area with scattered marula trees, overlooking the Timbavati River.
One 2-bed and one 4-bed tent have been adapted for vacation visitors with mobility difficulties so, they may too enjoy their Kruger National Park accommodation. All of these Kruger National Park lodging units are serviced daily and supplied with bedding, towels and soap. The tents have electrical plug points, small fridges and lighting found both inside and outside of the tents. There is also a public pay phone on hand at Tamboti.
Ten new safari tents have been recently installed overlooking the captivating Timbavati Riverbed. Unlike their existing 30 safari tents in the camp, which have communal ablutions and kitchens, these new units are fully equipped with luxury furnishing, linen and decor, for the ultimate in Kruger National Park accommodation. The new units each have one double bed, one single sleeper couch, en-suite bathroom, kitchenette, verandah with braai facilities and under cover parking. A shop, restaurant and fuelling facilities are available 5 km (3 miles) at the Orpen Rest Camp.
Tamboti Tent Camp is set among large riverine trees, about 4km (2.5 miles) from Orpen, on the road to Satara Rest Camp.
